Product & Care
Shop Weekend Cheoks began its journey in the late 2017. Sisters Samantha, Stacey and Hazel set out to connect with small-batch, family-owned manufacturers to create their very first footwear collection. The design intention was to encapsulate the ease and stature of shoes that carried women through the classical times - translated into the modern and timeless designs that we now know and love.
We are not like any major shoe brand. We can never justify the amount of time we take to create, sample and improve our designs. With the feedback of our customers, we are able to take this into a continuous and effective cycle to make perfect every little detail of our shoes from fit to material.
Please enjoy our shoes as much as we enjoyed creating them.
We work with a small shoe manufacturer based in Guangdong, China. Our footwear is designed in Singapore and developed by their in-house production team. Each pair is cut and crafted by hand and may bear slight impressions of handicraft or minor aesthetic imperfections. Each batch is manufactured efficiently with the aim of reducing material waste. In the event of surplus or idle materials, we take the opportunity to create new styles that are up for sale with the intention of maximizing its potential so that little goes to waste.
We choose to work with PU leather that is non-toxic and 100% animal-free.
The protective film underneath the sole should be peeled off before wear to prevent slipping. We advise to do so only when you are certain of your purchase as returns are only allowed for products in original condition.
We recommend to wear the shoes immediately as the materials are in its best condition to be seasoned. Due to the humidity of our local climate, storing the shoes without wear is not favorable.
Covered styles now come with gel inserts to be used on the front of the shoe to prevent excessive friction on the insoles. Shoes should be stored in a cool and dry environment with ventilation. Damp, sweaty shoes are more likely to grow moldy and brittle so wipe them down after wear before storing. Each pair typically last between 6 months of intensive wear to 2 years of light wear.
We recommend an application of protective waterproofing spray for our suede pairs before use to prolong aesthetic and wear. Clean leathers with rinsed cloth or brush for suede uppers. Allow time for air dry. Replace stuffing to maintain shape and remove excess moisture before storage.
For fit issues, try half insoles and gel inserts on the front of the shoe to prevent slipping and added volume for a snug fit - available at Watsons, Guardian, major supermarkets and departmental stores.
We are happy to extend a limited warranty of up to 30 days on full-priced items from date of purchase from our Marymount studio and webstore that have been worn. Please understand that we are not be able to provide any further assistance thereafter due to the various external factors that can be argued upon. There are 2 immediate conditions under which the warranty can be effective:
Unnatural wear and tear that affect the functionality of the shoes (i.e. breakage or detachment of any part of the shoe). This excludes aesthetic defects.
If you experience any quality or manufacturing concerns, please get in touch so that we can assess the condition of your shoes and collect useful information to help improve our production process.
We work with third-party partners to source for our knitwear. Our partners hold longstanding relationships with many garment manufacturers in Guangdong and Shenzhen. Each piece is sourced with our design brief in mind. Although we do not carry full creative directive on every design, we are able to communicate our configurations to these manufacturers with the help of our partners to ensure that our knitwear is most reminiscent of our brand and ethos.
Hand wash in cold water or professional dry clean. Turn cardigans with shell buttons inside out before machine wash. We recommend to do so in a laundry bag on gentle mode. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Lay flat to dry. Low heat iron. Store clean and folded, avoid hanging as it can stretch the fabric.
Kraft paper mailers are used for most of our exterior packaging. Bio-based mailers are recently introduced to help accommodate bigger orders of up to 3 pairs of shoes. They can be reused or disposed as general waste. Shoe boxes are made from cardboard with the exclusion of the plastic rim which should be removed before recycling. Please reuse when possible. These items can be flattened and placed in the blue commingled recycling bins around Singapore.
Unfortunately, the foam that is used to protect the shoes is not biodegradable and is preferred to be reused as stuffing or filling. We will be switching to acid-free paper for all future shipments.
If you have other concerns, please reach out to us.
